You wrote that you downloaded Firefox from Did that make you download the small stub-installer that was prevented as pop-up? You could try installing the full version from instead and see if that helps. I have used it for my browser since V2.0 and have always been able to identify/fix any issues or quirks in the past.Īny help or suggestions would be appreciated. I am on Windows 7 with a decently powered/configured machine, and believe I am familiar with firefox. I have tried a clean install (after uninstalling any existing version), and even though I don't believe firefox is getting far enough to load a profile, I have deleted all profiles. When attempting to run in Safe Mode, I am never prompted with "Safe Mode" window (Safe Mode / Refresh options).

With 40.0.x releases, I receive no error message(s) and am never prompted with the Profile Manager however, the firefox.exe process is running with nothing unusual (i.e., normal CPU, Memory, Disk Usage, etc.). Reverting back to 39.0.3 and everything is working/normal. I am unable to get Firefox to run after upgrading to Firefox 40.0 from 39.0.3 I have this same issue with the 40.0.2 and the 40.0.3 releases.
